I’m a true romantic at heart, and It fills me with so much joy to know that I get to work with so many amazing couples like you.
Some wedding days have a way of slowing everything down, inviting everyone to be fully present. Kathryn and Cooper’s Lions Gate Manor wedding was exactly that. Even with the South Carolina heat and humidity, the day felt peaceful from beginning to end. Tucked among lush gardens, winding pathways, and the dreamiest little waterfall. Every part of the venue felt like it belonged in a storybook. But what made the day unforgettable wasn’t just the beautiful setting, it was how intentionally they chose to celebrate. Every detail reflected their faith, their families, and the life they were beginning together.

Before guests ever arrived, there was already so much heart woven into the day. Kathryn wore her mother’s wedding dress, making one of the most meaningful details something that couldn’t be bought or recreated. It was such a beautiful reminder that weddings aren’t just about creating new memories. They’re also about carrying pieces of your family’s story into your own.
That same intentionality showed up everywhere you looked. Many of the details were handmade, from the colorful spring bouquets to the wedding cake that became the centerpiece of the reception. The soft blue touches, delicate florals, vintage-inspired details. And the incredible gardens surrounding Lions Gate Manor all came together so effortlessly. Every corner of the property felt thoughtfully designed. From the beautiful benches nestled throughout the grounds to the waterfall tucked behind the ceremony space. And hearing the harpist play as guests found their seats? It was one of those little touches that made the entire afternoon feel peaceful before the ceremony had even begun.

Kathryn and Cooper chose to wait until the ceremony to see one another for the very first time. And you could feel the anticipation leading up to that moment. As Kathryn walked down the aisle with her father, surrounded by the people who knew and loved them most, everything else seemed to fade into the background. Their ceremony was deeply rooted in their faith, creating a quiet, meaningful beginning to their marriage that perfectly reflected who they are.
The celebration afterward continued to feel completely true to them. Instead of a traditional dance floor packed with pop songs, everyone gathered to learn English line dancing together, think Bridgerton-style dances led by an instructor. It was unexpected, incredibly fun, and honestly one of the most memorable receptions I’ve seen. Watching every generation laugh, stumble through the steps together, and cheer each other on created such a joyful atmosphere. The night ended exactly how every summer wedding should, with glowing sparklers, hugs all around, and a getaway car lovingly decorated by their bridesmaids before Kathryn and Cooper drove off into their next chapter together.

One of my favorite things about Kathryn and Cooper’s day is that they never felt like they had to follow tradition just because it’s expected. They held onto the moments that mattered most, filled the day with meaningful details, and celebrated in a way that reflected who they are. If you’re planning a wedding that feels personal, intentional, and centered on the people you love most, I’d love to help tell that story. Whether your day is filled with handcrafted details, family traditions, or a celebration that’s completely your own, those are the moments that deserve to be remembered long after the last sparkler burns out.
