I’m a true romantic at heart, and It fills me with so much joy to know that I get to work with so many amazing couples like you.
There was something so soft and deeply intentional about this romantic Perry’s Landing wedding from the very beginning. The whole day felt wrapped in warm spring air, pastel florals, quiet excitement, and the kind of love that already knows what forever feels like. Shelby and Steven had technically already eloped before this day, but somehow that made this celebration feel even more meaningful, less about tradition and more about gathering every person they love into one space to witness this chapter of their story. Everywhere you looked there were thoughtful little details: sage green fabrics draped through the ceremony space, delicate florals in peach and ivory tones, handwritten vows, candlelight, and this calm tenderness between the two of them that never once felt rushed.

The morning unfolded gently, the way wedding mornings always seem to when everyone feels safe and fully present. Shelby got ready, surrounded by soft light pouring through the windows, slipping into the dreamiest gown with delicate floral embroidery that looked like it had been stitched together from pieces of spring itself. There was this quiet sweetness woven into every moment, holding hands with her mom, the final touches of jewelry, the anticipation sitting softly in the room without ever turning frantic. Even the details felt alive somehow: the layered invitation suite resting against gauzy fabric, pastel blooms gathered in vintage-style vases, the tiny green lizard perched outside almost like nature’s own little witness to the day.
Their first look felt especially emotional knowing they had already promised themselves to one another once before. There was no pressure to perform or make the moment “perfect.” Instead, it felt familiar and grounding, like returning home. They stood together on the porch wrapped in greenery and afternoon light, smiling through tears and nerves and laughter all at once. The whole energy of the day shifted after that moment. You could feel them exhale. From there, everything seemed softer, easier, more connected.

The ceremony space at Perry’s Landing honestly felt like stepping into a hidden garden. The wooden arbor draped with florals and pale green fabric blended so naturally into the landscape around it, and Shelby walking down the aisle with her dad felt impossibly cinematic in the gentlest way. Their guests watched with teary eyes as they exchanged vows beneath the trees, surrounded by the people who had carried them through every version of their story. One of the sweetest parts of the day was how unhurried everything felt. Nobody was racing through moments. People lingered. They hugged longer. They laughed louder. The whole celebration felt deeply rooted in presence.
As the sun faded, the reception space transformed into something warm and glowing, candlelight flickering against wood walls, champagne glasses clinking together, soft twinkle lights hanging overhead. Shelby and Steven moved through the night with so much joy and ease, twirling across the dance floor and sneaking little glances at each other like they still couldn’t believe this day was real. Even their cake felt whimsical and personal, topped with the sweetest pair of geese and covered in textured buttercream that matched the romantic feel of the entire wedding. By the time the sparkler exit came around, the night felt almost dreamlike, bright sparks cutting through the dark while their closest people cheered them into this next season of life together.

There’s something really beautiful about letting a wedding day unfold naturally instead of forcing it into a perfect timeline. Shelby and Steven’s day was proof that the most meaningful celebrations are often the ones centered around connection, softness, and simply being present with the people you love most.
