Our next guest, I met through a Vendor Event last winter, and since have had the wonderful privilege of photographing her and her boyfriend for their own couples photoshoot, as well as working with her together on a few different projects.

In my spare time, I love running, traveling, trying new cuisine, and this year I’ve gotten into sticker by number– it’s like coloring by number, but with stickers. It’s very therapeutic.
What inspired the launch of your business – Marry Me Event Production & Design?
Marry Me Event Production & Design was actually Marry Me Proposals when we first launched in June of 2022. I had just received my entrepreneurship certificate from Cornell University that spring and wanted to start a service based business.
A romantic weekend in Washington D.C. at the Ritz Carlton with my boyfriend that April, is what triggered the light bulb to go off and ignited my passion to curate romantic events for happily in love couples and tell their love stories through the creation of these memorable over the top events and experiences.
When I came back home, I wrote a business plan, launched June 1 and the rest is history.

How far in advance do you recommend booking your venue/services?
We recommend booking our services 6-12 months in advance.
What does your booking process look like?
At Marry Me Event Production & Design, our booking process is a seamless and efficient journey to secure our services for a client’s wedding. It begins with an initial consultation where we discuss the client’s wedding vision, needs, and expectations. Following this consultation, we will prepare a custom proposal tailored specifically to their requirements. Once they decide to move forward, we will provide them with a detailed contract that outlines the agreed-upon terms and conditions. To reserve their wedding date, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee.
With the contract and retainer in place, we embark on the planning and design process. Our team will work closely with couples , understanding their style, preferences, and wedding vision in detail. Throughout the planning journey, we maintain open and consistent communication, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
As the wedding day approaches, we focus on finalizing all the remaining details. We coordinate with vendors, create a comprehensive timeline, and conduct site visits and rehearsals. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect is meticulously organized and prepared for a flawless wedding day.
What do you enjoy most about being a wedding/event planner?
I love that I become besties with my clients and someone they can rely on and trust throughout the process. I am able to make them feel good about everything even when its nerve wracking and stressful. They appreciate that and once I see how happy they are at their wedding or when their partner says yes to a marriage proposal it warms my heart to know I helped them get to that point.
What advice do you have for couples searching for a wedding planner?
Once you become engaged, secure a planner before you book anything else.
If budget is an issue, you should have a coordinator at minimum. But please book these services before you get deep into planning and not because you’re in a crunch or because it’s required by a venue. Planners and coordinators will make your life easier and can often see logistical errors before you can if you’re planning or coordinating your own wedding. You always want to invest in a good planner.
The best planners are the ones who listen to your needs, are organized, and flexible with problem solving. Some offer planning packages; others may offer customized services. When choosing a planner I’d recommend to not just ask for prices and package information, but to schedule a consultation to better get an idea of the services your planner can provide and if it aligns with your expectations. Test the working relationship if you will before you invest in that service.
What can couples who book with you expect leading up to their wedding & day of?
Open communication, transparency, brutal honesty, a few laughs, but nonetheless consistent award winning top tier service.
What should people know who are looking to book you for their wedding?
If you want a planner who is organized, and a visionary that can execute your vision according to plan, book with me.
Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples planning their wedding?
Be organized. You will be happy that you were organized in the end. Trust me. If you take the DIY route, keep a wedding binder and still hire a coordinator at minimum. If you don’t want to be stressed out but still want to enjoy your wedding planning process hire a full service wedding planner. You will not regret that investment.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself or your business?
I am a boy mom, MBA candidate, entrepreneur, and former SCAD student with a background in film and television, branding, public relations, advertising, and business. I draw inspiration from my vast background into my wedding and event planning agency.
