True Love, Mud, and Rain Clouds – A Romantic Portrait Session at Amerson River Park, Macon Georgia

A blanket of grey covered the sky, promising rain; the sun hid its face, playing peek-a-boo through the clouds. Rain had transformed the trails at Amerson RIver Park into a slick, muddied mess. While her heels sank into the mud as she walked, he held her hand and they laughed together joyously. The evening was an unexpected adventure of plot-twists at every turn, beginning with mud and ending in light rain. There was perfection in the imperfect, and the unexpected transformed into something special, beautiful, and uniquely them. It was an evening of magic, as if Earth herself knew exactly what was needed to capture their very special love story.

It is as if God split one soul in half and put each in a separate body, just so they could find each other here on Earth.

As humans, we go through life, hoping to find that special someone that will complete us. In 7.5 billion people, the idea of finding your soul mate can seem near impossible. Sometimes, you cross paths with someone, and they have no impact at all. Other times, the impact is monumentally life-changing, and you can’t remember a world without them in it. When Oksana and Mariano met, their souls recognized each other, and their lives were irrevocably changed.

Oksana and Mariano’s love story began right before he moved to Michigan. They started out as friends but kept in touch, speaking every day. Their friendship grew into a love filled with joy, laughter, and an energy that is radiant and alive. It is as if God split one soul in half and put each in a separate body, just so they could find each other here on Earth. It is a miracle to find a soul-mate, but even more so to find that your best friend and soul mate are the same person.

Oksana and Mariano – I don’t even know where to begin. Working with you was so much fun. From walking in the mud, to just “rolling with it,” to the never ending laughter, you two have such a zest for life that is so rare to find. I hope that you never lose that playfulness, that joy, that love for life and for each other.
