Queena & Matthew’s Love Story

Queena and Matthew began their story on Tinder, an app Queena never thought she’d find love on. Funny enough, she almost swiped left on him! However, a photo of him caught her attention and he messaged her. This is what Queena said about that interaction. “The next morning, to my surprise, he sent me the most well-thought and sincere first message I’ve ever received on Tinder. Talking about things I mentioned in my profile and things we had in common. It was also a double text, which gave off a slightly awkward but adorable vibe. When we went on our first date, he turned out to be exactly what I had pictured over the texts messages. How I Became A Part of Their Intimate Backyard Wedding

I first met Matthew & Queena in 2020, they had been dating for 3 years at that time. She had applied for a model call for a photoshoot with me and their application stood out to me! Eventually, they decided it was time to get married, and they chose me as their photographer for their intimate backyard wedding. I couldn’t have been more excited. Documenting couple’s throughout their relationship is one of my favorite things to do.

Queena & Matthew’s Intimate Backyard Wedding

Queena and Matthew had an intimate backyard wedding on Matthew’s parents and grandpa’s property. Matthew’s parents live next to his grandpa and they used one backyard for the ceremony and one for the reception! I’d describe the wedding as “boho” with fall colors, the perfect combination for an October wedding. It was a beautiful sunny day, with the sun streaming through the trees. Additionally, they chose to plant a tree in a pot for their unity ceremony which was so special.

Special moments and laughter filled the rest of the day. It has been such an honor working with Queena & Matthew and capturing the many stages of their love story. Their wedding celebration in California was a celebration of all of the moments that have contributed to their story and everything yet to come.
