Elsie Dru + Michael’s Enchanted Engagement | Washington Park – Macon, Georgia

The golden light, lush greenery, sparkling waterfalls, and brick pathways at Washington Park in Macon GA created a romantic and picturesque setting for Elsie Dru and MichaeI’s dreamy engagement session. Her emerald green dress flowed behind her and her ring sparkled in the sunlight. Their joy surrounding them in its embrace.

Elsie Dru and Michael’s love story began in May 2019, and some might say it was kismet. Elsie was planning a trip to play a disc golf course she had never tried before, and wanted to make the excursion worth it. She reached out to several people through a disc golf group, and several had said they might join. Only one of them showed up; can you guess who it was!? Michael, of course!! The two got to know each other while playing a round together (Her thinking the whole time how cute he was).

Michael, realizing how special this amazing woman he just met was, asked her on a date for August 3rd. He made the trip up from where he lived to take her out on a date. As they were leaving the restaurant and she was about to get in the car, he caught her by the wrist to stop her and said, “You know, you’re really beautiful.” Elsie, filled with shock, blushed. She said, “Oh my god,” hid behind her hair, and proceeded to get in her car. Once in her car she thought to herself “WHAT AN IDIOT!!” (It’s okay Elsie, we’ve all been there! <3)

Well, Michael kept in touch with Elsie and they had their second date at Providence Canyon the following weekend. The time they spent together was unlike any other, and this is the day they shared their first kiss and made their relationship official. The following months were filled with so much love and joy. The only part that was less than ideal being the distance.

On September, 2021 on top of a mountain, Michael proposed to Elsie. They have found their person, and are filled with excitement to spend the rest of their lives together. They will be saying their vows in front of family and friends February, 2023.
