Classy & Elegant Wedding at The Venues at Ogeechee Tech

Shelby and Ryan met years ago through mutual friends! About 6 years ago they decided to take a chance on each other. Ryan then popped the question in March of 2023! Ryan threw him and Shelby a surprise engagement party and celebrated their love! Additionally, they had emphasized that they wanted a photographer for their wedding that could capture the moments and look back the photos and feel right back in the moments years down the road. That is exactly what we captured for Shelby and Ryan’s classy and elegant wedding at The Venues at Ogeechee Tech!

Shelby and Ryan’s Classy & Elegant Wedding at The Venues at Ogeechee Tech

I absolutely loved shooting this wedding at The Venues at Ogeechee Tech! The day started off with Shelby and Ryan getting ready for their big day. I was able to capture some fun shots of Shelby and her bridesmaids in matching silk PJ’s! After that Shelby slipped into her dress, she did a first look with her bridesmaids and let me tell you, her dress was stunning! After the first look with her bridesmaids, Ryan and Shelby were about to see each other for the first time. Not only was Ryan waiting there for Shelby for their first look but their dog was waiting there with Ryan as well! It was so sweet to see how much love they have for their dog!

We captured a first look with Shelby’s dad and then got started on wedding party portraits! The ceremony took place outdoors and Shelby and Ryan exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their friends and family! I then took romantic sunset portraits of Shelby and Ryan. We then headed to the reception that took place indoors. Once the party started the dance floor was so lively!

Words From the Couple

We booked Christine with Barefoot Royalty for our wedding after meeting her at a bridal expo in Statesboro, GA. The Queen of Hearts package was the one that best suited our needs, which included an engagement session as well. My husband and I decided that we would like to have our session at the river on his dad’s property and Christine was on board and filled with excitement from the start! Little did she know our session would involve a dog, canoe, boat, champagne, and a very awkward couple. With all of these props, obstacles, and survival taking pictures from a moving riverboat in the Ogeechee, Christine got us through our engagement session. We were instantly blown away after our pictures arrived within the timeframe given!

Our wedding day quickly arrived and was exciting, fun, and busy right from the start. Christine had a photography schedule for us to follow and worked as hard as possible to keep all of us on track (which was a VERY challenging task in itself). After the ceremony, Christine recommended “golden hour” pictures while our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour. As much as I was excited to start visiting and celebrating with our guests, I am so happy she encouraged us to take the time because the pictures are PERFECT! The week of the wedding, we decided to book an extra hour with Christine to be able to capture more of our reception.

Honestly, aside from booking Barefoot Royalty in the first place, this may have been our best decision yet! She and her second shooter stayed until 9 PM and captured so many fun reception pictures that we would not have had otherwise! Christine stayed in touch as the weeks passed while we waited for our full gallery to arrive… and boy were they worth the wait!!! Being able to relive our wedding day through the pictures has been so much fun. We are blown away by the talent she has, attention to detail, and how everything turned out. We would highly recommend Barefoot Royalty Photography for your engagement/wedding photos and would book with Christine every time if we had to do it over again!! Hands down the BEST experience and we were most definitely given the ROYALTY treatment! Thanks for everything! – Shelby and Ryan
