This couple is special because in 2022 is where I met Claire and Brian. I was doing a couples photoshoot with them that had turned into a surprise proposal! Brian contacted me incognito and we came up with a plan for him to propose during their session on River St. in Savannah GA. They later reached out to me to capture their elopement and I was beside myself! It was such a beautiful day.

A Fun Adventurous Elopement Day

We started under the bridge at Vickery Creek Trail. This is where Claire and Brian shared a first look. His heart skipped a beat as he sees her for the first time, framed against the rustic wood and stone and the babbling creek below. Cue the happy tears and the sweet whispers—it’s a moment straight out of a fairy tale. Portraits began through the trails and paths that wind around Roswell Mill. The old brick ruins and lush greenery provide the perfect backdrop for our bohemian couple. We capture them twirling in fields, stealing kisses under towering trees, and soaking in the quiet moments that only nature can provide.

As the day unfolded, we trekked deeper into nature, making our way to a secluded waterfall. Surrounded by the serene sounds of rushing water, our couple is joined by their immediate family for an intimate ceremony. Love fills the air as vows are exchanged against the backdrop of cascading water—a breathtaking scene that speaks to the wild beauty of their love. After sealing their vows with a kiss, it’s time to celebrate! A picnic-style meal awaits by the riverbank, complete with cozy blankets and delicious bites. Laughter mingles with the rustling leaves as everyone toasts to love, adventure, and the journey ahead.

And what’s an adventure without a splash of fun? We end the day with playful moments by the water’s edge. The bride kicks off her shoes and dips her toes in the cool stream, while the groom spins her around in a joyful dance. “I’m a nurse in the emergency department and he is a paramedic. He would bring patients to the ER where I worked. We were both going through a divorce when we met. He was married for 18 years and I was married for 16. We started out as friends. A friendship blossomed into a beautiful partnership. I can’t imagine my life without him. Between us both we have 10 children and we have pretty rigorous work schedules, so we don’t get to spend as much time together as we would like. This would give us a chance/reason to get away and we enjoyed trying and doing new things.”
