Barefoot Weddings: Vendor Interview with Savannah Bottle Works

Hi friends! Welcome to the fourth installment in my Featured Vendor Interview series, dedicated to featuring local wedding vendors in Southeast/Coastal Georgia so you can get to know them a little bit better and learn all about the services they provide.

The main purpose of this interview series is to provide a unique and time-saving resource for couples in the throes of wedding planning. Planning a wedding can be a lot, and my mission is to help make it as easy and stress-free as possible.

Our next guests are Luis & Nelson, owners of the newly restored Venue Savannah Bottle Works in Savannah Georgia. They have brought one of Savannah’s beloved historic buildings back to its former glory, giving new life to the old Savannah Consolidated Bottle Works factory as a wedding and special event venue. Within walking distance of several of Savannah’s most stunning squares and night life, original brick walls and hardwood floors and ceiling create a warm and inviting backdrop for any celebration.

At Savannah Bottle Works, our mission within the wedding industry is to be as flexible as possible when it comes to your event! We want to make sure that your personality shines through! We are a true believer that you should have your perfect day and just enjoy and have fun with your closest friends and family!

When we are not at the venue, we are either hanging out with family grilling out, doing some gardening, or taking the dogs to the dog park.

We really like to spend time with friends & family and all of our nieces and nephews! We have become the house where all the family comes in for food!

What inspired the launch of your business – Savannah Bottle Works?

We have been wanting to start our own business since 2018!

We even had found a beautiful spot in the mountains of GA for a great wedding venue! We decided not to take the place, since there was just something in the back of my head telling me “don’t do it, don’t do it.” Then a few months later Covid hit! Once Covid calmed down, we started back again to open our own business. We looked into restaurants, bars, wedding venues and nothing clicked with us. Until one day, I find on TikTok The Venue CEO remodeling a 1900’s bank that she had bought, and I just started stalking her on TikTok. A few months later she said she was looking for franchises, and almost a year later here we are, about to open our own wedding venue with the Help of the Fetewell brand and Kate!

What different services do you provide your clients?

OUR 16 HOUR RENTAL WINDOW COMES WITH ALL FULL-DAY RENTALS.

That’s double the industry standard. As part of making sure every event at our venue feels like one-of-a kind, we designed our minimalist policies to be an industry leader in flexibility to allow you to really make our venue your own.

WE WELCOME ALL LICENSED AND INSURED CATERERS

Part of making sure your celebration feels like yours is giving you the freedom to choose your own catering team. This flexibility ensures you get the food you want at a price that works best for your budget by giving you the freedom to shop around for your perfect fit.

TWO LOOKS, ONE VENUE

Rentals include access to three spacious halls: one airy white space and a two-level brick space that was part of the original Savannah Consolidated Bottle Factory.

• Tables and chairs for 200 guests
• Free public parking is just steps away from the entrance of the venue
• Free WiFi

STRESS RELIEVERS

• Our capacity is 250, and we can comfortably accommodate 200+ guests for a seated dinner with room for a dance floor— but Savannah Bottle Works is easily divisible for smaller, more intimate events.
• We welcome all licensed and insured vendors, including caterers – Your personal on-site venue manager will be with you throughout your event
• The venue is more than 9,000 square feet and all levels are accessible by stairs and elevator, which means easy access for all guests and vendors

What sets your business apart from others in the wedding industry; what are some things that make your venue/services unique?

Savannah Bottle Works is a historically chic celebration space for any celebration. We like to say Savannah Bottle Works is a “blank slate with character” that you can customize to create your unique vision for your special day. We provide a full day rental of our entire 9k square foot facility including and outdoor deck area. and you can bring in your own catering team as long as they are licensed and insured!

How far in advance do you recommend booking your venue/services?

As soon as you get engaged!

What does your booking process look like?

Its really easy and streamlined, it can take less than 25 minutes to have your date reserved!

What do you enjoy most about owning a wedding venue?

Seeing the vision coming to life! The process from the planning and the brain storming, and then the day of when you can see all of the pieces come together!

What advice do you have for couples searching for a wedding venue?

When it comes to venue shopping, make sure you get the venue that fits your needs and that you can have all that you want in a venue! Take your time and look at a few venues and then weigh out the pros and cons. But sometimes it happens that you walk in and you just fall in love with the venue!

Follow Your Gut!

What can couples who book with you expect leading up to their wedding & day of?

As long as there is availability, you can come and tour the place with your catering team, mom, florist, bar staff, mom, grandma, wedding planner to take a look at the space.

What should people know who are looking to book you for their wedding?

We welcome all and we want everyone to feel welcomed! just enjoy your day and have fun!

Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples planning their wedding?

Book your venue in advance! Everything will revolve around your venue and what you can do and what you cant do! Set up a vision of what you want and start venue shopping!
