Dreamy Beach Portrait Session at Tybee Island, Georgia

Her feet were bare, and her gown flowed behind her, as they walked along the sandy beach of Tybee Island, Georgia. The whole world faded away, until it was just the two of them. The waves crashed along the beach and birds flew overhead. The golden hour sun shone down on them, illuminating the essence of their love for the world to see.  He pulled her in close, and they began to sway while breathing each other in.  He picked her up in his arms, and they laughed together, as he spun her in circles. This feeling was one of pure joy – a small moment in time that they would remember forever.  They will share these memories with their children, and their grandchildren after that.  They will tell the story of a magical kind of love that stood the test of time as they show their future generations the photos that immortalized their love-story.   

Since childhood, Maya and James’ lives were interwoven in such a way that falling in love was inevitable. Childhood friendship grew and transformed into a timeless romance when they reunited as adults. Love knows no distance, and James drove five hours just to see her. When you know, you know. Maya and James knew without a doubt that they were destined to be together forever. Nothing had ever made more sense and six months later, James and Maya eloped.

Best friends, lovers, soul mates. These words can all be used to describe Maya and James.

Maya and James, It was such a joy working with you both. Your love is filled with magic that all children dream of. It was amazing to witness and photograph. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your beautiful love story. Thank you for sticking with me until it was almost dark. Maya thank you for trying out that dress – I knew it was perfect for you! James thank you for carrying that heavy wet mess of a dress to the Jeep when we were done!

Next time you go to Hawaii, pack me in your suitcase and we can do it again!
