A Surprise Proposal on River Street | Historic Savannah, Georgia

When Brian e-mailed me telling me he wanted to ask Claire to marry him during their photoshoot, I was beyond excited to help him come up with the perfect plan to propose. After having them walk for a little while, and getting them comfortable in front of the camera, I had them turn their backs to each other, getting ready for the big moment. With Claire’s eyes closed, I mouthed to Brian, asking if he was ready to pop the question. The small velvet box now secure in his hand, he nodded to me. It was time.

As they turned around to face eachother, Brian got down on one knee and gazed up lovingly at the woman who had become his whole world. With his heart showing on his sleeve for the whole world to see, Brian asked Claire to be his wife. Claire’s face lit up with joy as he slid the ring on her ring finger. They embraced, sealing the promise of forever together with a kiss.

The rest of the evening was one filled with the undeniable joy and excitement of being newly engaged and knowing they’d get to spend the rest of their lives loving each other. It was an hour and a half filled with romance, laughter, and intimate moments while creating memories that they would cherish forever,.
