I’m a true romantic at heart, and It fills me with so much joy to know that I get to work with so many amazing couples like you.
Spring in Savannah feels like the city waking up slowly, stretching toward the sun. The air is warmer but not heavy yet! The streets soften with color. Everything feels a little more alive. Spring Weddings in Savannah carry that same energy, romantic without trying, elegant without being stiff, and grounded in the beauty of the season itself. If you’re planning a spring wedding here, there are a few things worth knowing, not just how it looks, but how it feels to move through the day!

Spring in Savannah typically runs from early March through May, and each month has its own personality. March is cooler and quieter, with daytime temperatures usually in the 60s to low 70s. April warms up and brings peak bloom season, while May starts to feel more like early summer, with temps often reaching the 80s and humidity beginning to settle in. This matters for timelines, attire, and pacing! Earlier spring weddings feel crisp and calm. Later spring weddings feel lush and vibrant but benefit from breathable fabrics and a slower flow built into the day.

One of the biggest advantages of Spring Weddings in Savannah is the light. Spring offers softer, more even sunlight compared to summer, when the sun is higher and harsher. Late afternoon light is especially beautiful, warm, glowy, and forgiving. Golden hour shifts later as spring progresses. In March, it happens earlier in the evening; by May, it stretches closer to sunset. This is important when building your ceremony and portrait timeline. Planning portraits later in the day often means calmer temperatures and better light, a win on both sides!

Azaleas are one of Savannah’s signature spring blooms, typically peaking late March through mid-April. You’ll find them throughout the Historic District, parks, and residential streets, often in shades of pink, coral, white, and soft red. Because the city brings so much color on its own, spring couples don’t need to overdo it! Soft neutrals, muted pastels, warm greens, and organic textures work beautifully alongside the blooms. Even minimal floral designs feel full and intentional in spring because the environment is already doing so much visual work.

Spring showers are common in Savannah, especially in April and May, but they’re often brief and unpredictable rather than all-day storms! The most important thing is having a flexible rain plan, covered ceremony options, clear umbrellas, and a timeline that can breathe if things shift slightly. Rain doesn’t ruin spring weddings here. If anything, it deepens the colors, cools the air, and quiets the streets. Some of the most intimate moments happen when plans loosen and everyone leans into the day as it unfolds.

While spring is more comfortable than summer, humidity does start to build, especially by May. Lightweight fabrics, natural fibers, and hairstyles that work with the weather instead of against it can make a big difference. For guests, shaded ceremony spaces, water stations, and thoughtful pacing go a long way! Spring is also high pollen season, particularly late March through April. If allergies are a concern, indoor cocktail hours or shaded outdoor spaces can help guests stay comfortable!

Spring is one of Savannah’s busiest wedding seasons. Popular locations like Forsyth Park and downtown squares may require permits for ceremonies or larger setups, and weekends can feel lively with tourists! Planning earlier in the day or choosing quieter corners of the city can help your wedding feel more intimate without sacrificing the Savannah beauty.

Spring weddings here aren’t about forcing a vision, they’re about letting the season guide you! If you’re dreaming of Spring Weddings in Savannah that feel intentional, relaxed, and deeply connected to the place itself, I’d love to hear what you’re imagining.
